Something else to consider within oils is whats known as film strength. this is very important to engine life, and should be factored in with your decision. film strength is defined as The measurement of a lubricant's ability to keep an unbroken film over surfaces. a basic explanation is, the maximum pressure a single plane of oil can withstand between two metal parts (i.e. camshaft and lifter) before breaking down and allowing direct metal to metal contact. the higher the PSI value, the better the oil. most companies will not disclose their film strength because it would put most AutoZone sales down the toilet, but fear not! the internet is all powerful. lazy link (scroll to bottom of page) p.s.
